About Surge Arresters
The surge arrester limits overvoltages (lightning and switching surges) by diverting them to the ground, protecting transformers, substations, and cables. The zinc oxide (ZnO) models offer fast response and low leakage current. They follow IEC 60099-4 / NBR 16050.
Specify by the nominal voltage compatible with the network class and by the MCOV (maximum continuous operating voltage).
